Of all the people Rip could’ve assigned to partner up with Snart on this stakeout, why did it have to be Raymond? Stakeouts were supposed to be silent, still, calm. Your attention was supposed to be focused entirely on the building you were casing, or the mark you were following to get their schedule down pat. It was decidedly not supposed to be interrupted constantly with long-winded sentences, interposed with chattering teeth; both of which were coming from the man curled up on the hard ground next to him.
Snart can only take so much of chattering. He interrupts Raymond halfway through a long-winded description of the changes Ray was implementing in his ATOM suit to ask, “Raymond, how many layers are you wearing?” Ray stopped, mid-thought, to mentally count.
“Um, I think eight…”
“Did Gideon not give you weather-appropriate clothes?”
“I think they’re weather appropriate, but, uh, I guess I’m not good at sitting still for hours in freezing temperatures. You seem pretty comfortable, though.”
“Yeah, well, it kind of comes with the territory, Raymond.”
“Right, Captain Cold, you’d be comfortable in the North Pole in a t-shirt.”
“I wouldn’t go that far…”
Raymond shifts, and his already red-from-cold face seems to turn a bit redder. “Uh, do you think maybe…no, never mind.”
“Raymond.”
“Okay, uh, like, sharing body heat? With me? Would help me warm up?”
“You wanna cuddle, Raymond.”
“Uh, I just, I’m really cold.”
Snart sighs and gestures for Ray to curl up against his side. Raymond does so with a small happy noise, and nestles up against Snart’s warmth.
A reminder that this blog is closing down soon and will become asks/likes for the blog that I will be fully using (and want to communicate with people on), which is @queerleonardsnart. Thanks for following me, and feel free to follow on my other blog if you wish.
In popular culture we have “the bachelor pad,” and “the bachelor lifestyle,” but no such phrases for women. Women who live alone are objects of fear or pity, witches in the forest or Cathy comics. Even the current cultural popularity of female friendship still speaks to how unwilling we all are to accept women without a social framework; a woman who’s “alone” is a woman who’s having brunch with a bunch of other women. When a woman is truly alone, it is the result of a crisis—she is grieving, has lost something, is a problem to be fixed. The family, that fundamental social unit, dwells within the female body and emanates from it. Women are the anchors of social labor, the glue pulling the family, and then the community, together with small talk and good manners and social niceties. Living alone as a woman is not just a luxury but a refusal to bend into the shape of patriarchal assumption and expectation.

This hotel is located in Huilo Huilo, a Natural Reserve in Chile. The rustic appearance ends with the exterior however, as the interiors are done up in luxury. There are only 9 rooms, named after bird species found in the area. Each of them overlooks the thick forest and wildlife outside. Guests even get a glimpse of a real-life volcano from the hotel. Hot tubs made out of huge tree trunks, overlooking the forest are a major tourist attraction at Magic Mountain, as is the world’s longest zip line running through the grounds.
Netflix didn’t invent speed checks, but this site is Netflix’s.
Okay, so here’s why Netflix speedtest is so brilliant.
Most of us know about Speedtest.net, right? Well Comcast and Time Warner know about it too. They know customers use it to check to see if they’re getting what they are paying for. Comcast techs even tell customers to check their speed with Speedtest.net.
So, to make sure people think they are getting good speeds, Comcast and Time Warner prioritize traffic going to Speedtest.net. When you check your speed there it’s artificially inflated. That is NOT the speed you are getting when you browse tumblr and that is definitely not the speed you get when you watch Netflix.
Comcast and Time Warner can not artificially inflate the results by prioritizing traffic to Fast.net unless they also prioritize traffic to Netflix, and they definitely do not want to do that.

France’s politicians and community leaders have criticised the “intolerable” violence against Paris’ Jewish community, after a pro-Palestinian rally led to the vandalizing and looting of Jewish businesses and the burning of cars.
please please please spread this around, please speak up about this, please let everyone know that this is not okay, please please please protect my people from a second kristallnacht, please
Listen. I love my followers and my mutuals dearly. You know how occasionally I post something like ‘every Jew on this site has a list in their head of who reblogs what and who ignores posts about Jews’? I’m talking about this shit. I have been seeing things on my dash about the situation of Jews in France for over a year, but it’s coming from other Jews 99% of the time. Please stop ignoring this. This is literally history repeating itself and we can’t be the only ones calling it out again.
This is the first I’ve heard of this, and I’m flabbergasted! If you go and read the article it’s even worse; “anti-Jewish violence is seven times higher than in the 1990s, and 40% of racist violence is against Jews, despite them making up just 1% of the population.” I mean, holy crap! I know Tumblr is very US-centric but this definitely needs to be heard about!!
I worked for Wells Fargo for a little while. While working there they were a sales driven bank. All they cared about were ‘solutions’. Which basically means getting people to open new accounts, start a new line of credit that kind of bullshit. Now for most people, a checking, savings and maybe a credit card is all you want or need.
What they trained us to do was to convince poor people to open a separate checking and savings account. As many ass possible. And they would be ‘free’ so long as you met certain criteria. Those being things like a certain amount of transactions, minimum balances or transfers. Easy stuff.
But the criteria are set to change every 12 months or so depending on the accounts. Now Wells Fargo would open hundreds of thousands of these accounts a year. So every 12 months hundreds of thousands of people would just start having 8 or 10 or 12 dollar fees coming out of their accounts with no explanation. Now, some people are able to come in and meet with a banker after waiting in a lobby for a few hours. But not everyone. And absolutely NO ONE is informed that their account will not be free forever.
So basically, Wells Fargo is lying to their customers and intentionally stealing their money.
The worst part is that generally the people with these kinds of fees being assessed are the people where if a random 12 dollar fee comes out at the wrong time, you end up in overdraft land. Once you’re there, you basically stay there. They charge 34 bucks per charge over your balance. So if you have 20 bucks, spend 5 on gas, 10 on lunch and dinner and then buy milk on the way home and had no idea a random 12 dollar charge was coming out you’re out 100 bucks.
And it’s all 100 % legal.
Fuck Wells Fargo.
This is so important. And SO beyond fucked up tbh
Soooooo glad I didn’t get an account with them! As a college student out of state, I’ve seen my account balance under $1 too many times!
Thinx is a brand of underwear for humans that menstruate. Those humans are not necessarily always going to be cisgendered women, as transgender men can, and do, menstruate. With its latest subway campaign, which took over New York’s Union Square station today, the brand has represented exactly that.
